Who we are

Creativity can come to us in many different forms and if we are honest, it can be more natural to some of us than others. No matter where we are in our journey, there is always going to be someone that you look up to (maybe even envy) and someone that is admiring your work at the exact same moment.

For me (Rhonda Rawles), I come from a long line of strong women who have found joy in creating arts and crafts in various forms and sharing with others. Some of my earliest memories of my grandmother were watching her crochet everything under the sun and to teach each child and grandchild that art. to a mother that tackled so many different medias to include teaching and even owning her own brick and mortar store.

From the Heart was created after a journey of learning and growing a passion to share my completed work with others and possibly inspire creativity in their lives.

After a major medical episode in 2015 where I encountered multi organ failure and even fought back from dying twice and on dialysis, I was left with a temproarily bleak outlook for my future. After a full recovery by the grace of God, I learned just how critical it is to take time for yourself and to make each day count. As women it is our nature to take care of everyone and everything before making time for ourselves. and that’s why making time for creativity has become so special to me to share with others.

I learned a great quote long ago - “It’s not a matter of time, it’s a matter of commitment. When something is important to you, you make the time.” Making time for creating and sharing art with others brings me great joy and I am taking the time to make that a priority.
